Paris' Bio.
Here is a wonderful Biography written by Paris herself, and dont forget to look below her bio. for some pics.
Hello everyone, and Welcome!
My name is Paris Coleman, though most would refer to me just as "Princess". I am 16 years old, and as of fall, I will be a Senior at Patapsco High School Center for the Arts. As a student there, I am enrolled through the Vocal Performance Magnet. I participate in several choral groups inside and outside of school. Some of these groups are Concert Choir and Chamber Choir, which are both focused on the classical aspect of music; Great Expectations, a dancing and singing show choir; Vocal Jazz, Gospel Choir, and Barbershop. For those of you who attended the Bull and Oyster Roast this past fall/winter, my quartet, the "Darlin' Divas", performed and stayed around to have some fun after singing a few old time Barbershop classics. In school, I am also involved in two school sports, Tennis and Badminton. If you have walked into Patapsco High School lately, you will see the current project the Art Magnet, and other volunteer students have been working on for the past months. In our hallway, we are creating a mural made out of pure glass and paint, and nothing else! It truly is coming together, and for anybody interested in helping out by sending in old broken vases, or any unwanted glass, please contact me. But besides my school activities, there are a few other hobbies of my own. One of the bigger of the bunch is that I play guitar. I have been playing guitar for a little over a year now. Currently, I have a Fender Strat, also known as my "baby" =), and two amplifiers stacked on top of each other. Whether I'm learning a new song, or popping a cd, I always love to just sit down and enjoy the music. Let's just be honest...Music is everywhere in my life! Starting about age 12-13, I went to my first HFStival, which was a pretty popular radio station playing nothing but Alternative and Indie. And since Alternative is one of my favorite genres, it was easy to fit in. There, I saw The Offspring, Papa Roach, Fall Out Boy, Cypress Hill, Jay Z, Lit, The Yeah Yeah Yeah's, and ton of other bands! After that, I was hooked. I loved, and still love to go to concerts and be a part of the crowd. There's nothing like standing dead center in front of your favorite band; The feeling is just incredible. But enough about music, there is another interest that I have that has nothing to do with music, and that is History. After graduating from high school, I want to pursue my Doctrine in History as a College Professor. Though I know it will take a lot of patience and time, I am willing to put in the effort. I think that History is one of the most universal and controversial subjects alive today. There is never a right, or a wrong, only new ideas brought up each and every day. The one thing I truly love about History though, is its versatility. Nothing is ever set in stone, and different ways to approach it are constantly arriving. Personally, I hate stagnation, so loving something that is always evolving seems right for me. Another thing right for me, is being Princess and representing Crescent Yacht Club. Though my schedule stays full, I love being able to be a part of something so wonderful, which is why I'd like to thank each and everyone of you for supporting Crescent, Commodore Dave and First Lady Patti, CYC Members, and myself. It is a pleasure to see all of your faces, and I am looking forward to sharing more time with you.
Also, a special thank you to Mr. Jason for making this website so beautiful! Thank you!
With Love,
Princess Paris Coleman
